Sabah occupies the top portion of the beautiful island of Borneo, and covers an area of 74,000 sq. km with a coastline that is washed by the South China Sea, Sulu Sea and the Celebes Sea.
Sabah is known as "The Land Below The Wind" as it sits below the typhoon belt. It is home to some of the worlds oldest jungles, and the magnificent Mount Kinabalu, which is the highest mountain peak in South-east Asia.
The capital of the state is Kota Kinabalu (generally known as KK) was formerly known as Jesselton. Also known as Api-Api by the locals, which is a Malay word meaning 'Fire' due to frequent city destruction caused by fire. There were only 3 buildings survived towards the end of World War II. In the year 2000, KK was officially declared as City.Day 1 :
Meet at Kota Kinabalu International Airport or Meet at hotel lobby then proceed for City Sightseeing Tour with a drive to signal Hill for a bird's eye view of Kota Kinabalu, We will make a photo stop at the Wisma Tun Mustapha (formerly known as Sabah Foundation Building)which was built in 1977. It is a magnificent building with 30-storey tower block, and is one of the few buildings in the world that utilize a single column structure.
Other scenic places to visit include the Atkinson Clock Tower, the State Mosque with it's gold inlaid onion dome, known to be the largest dome of it's type in Malaysia, and the State Museum been built in 1985. Other visits include the Chinese Buddhist Temple with a huge statue of Kuan Yin and finally the handcraft center for souvenir to bring home. Proceed to Tanjung Aru Beach seaside sunset viewing (depending on the weather), you can enjoy a seafood meal or hawker meal here (own expense). Transfer back to your hotel.Day 2 :
Breakfast at hotel. 0900 - Meet at hotel lobby and proceed to jetty in downtown Kota Kinabalu. On arrival at jetty, board boat for a 20 minute ride to the one of the beautiful island – Sapi Island of Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park. You can enjoy swimming or snorkeling in the crystal clear water along the white sandy beach to explore the tropical marine life (life jacket and snorkeling mask included). Optional water sports such as parasailing, banana boat, jet skiing, kayaking, Sea Walking etc also available at the island. or just laze around the beach soaking the tropical sun. BBQ lunch will be provided. Transfer back to Kota Kinabalu in the afternoon, transfer back to your hotel.Day 3 :
Free leisure time for you to explore more or do last minute shopping for local handicraft and souvenirs until transfer to Kota Kinabalu International airport for departure flight.Package Inclusive :
