DAY 01: DEPARTURE / SOFIA (Meals on Board)
Assemble at the airport for flight to Sofia, Bulgaria
DAY 02: SOFIA / RILA MONASTERY / SOFIA (Dinner in Hotel)
Visit the most notable World Heritage sites of Bulgaria, Rila Monastery, recognized by UNESCO for their religious significance, historical attributes and Byzantine architecture.
DAY 03: SOFIA / BACHKOVO MONASTERY / PLOVDIV (Buffet Breakfast, Lunch)
- Sofia: Sofia is Bulgaria's capital and its largest city. View the highlights and some of the most prominent sights Alexander Nevsky Cathedral which is the biggest and the most spectacular landmark building in Sofia, St. George Rotunda, St. Sophia Church, National Palace of Culture, Eagle's Bridge, Banya Bashi Mosque and National Assembly Square.
- Excursion to Bachkovo Monastery: Visit the second largest and one of most important monasteries of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church monastery in Bulgaria, Bachkovo Monastery is famous for its 17th century wall paintings. The monastery is also a National monument of culture, history, art and traditions. It conserves a huge number of icons, paintings, church buildings and very precious examples of church utensils from 11th to 19th centuries.
DAY 04: PLOVDIV / VELIKO TARNOVO (Buffet Breakfast, Lunch)
- Plovdiv: Plovdiv is the European capital of Culture 2019 and home to one of Bulgaria’s most impressive archeological sites, Roman Stadium, Roman Forum and the Amphitheatre, which is among the best-preserved ancient theaters in the world. Explore the city and discover why it is considered to be one of the oldest settlements of Europe, with more than 7000 years of history. Trace the history of Bulgaria from Thracian times, through the Roman Empire period, the national revival, and the modern age. Walk through the longest pedestrian zone in Europe, 1750 metres, beating previous record-holder Copenhagen.
- Veliko Tarnovo: Veliko Tarnovo is the cultural and intellectual center of Bulgaria. It is one of the oldest towns in the country, as its history dates back to more than five thousand years ago. Visit the symbol of Veliko Târnovo, the most unconquerable Bulgarian fortress, Tsarevets Fortress. This reconstructed fortress dominates the skyline and is one of Bulgaria's most beloved monuments. The former seat of the medieval tsars, it boasts the remains of more than 400 houses, 18 churches, an execution rock and the royal palace.
DAY 5: VELIKO TARNOVO / VARNA (Buffet Breakfast, Lunch)
- Drive past one of the most famous attractions in Varna, The Cathedral of the Assumption of the Virgin, built in the 19th century. Continue to our Black Sea Resort and enjoy the rest of the day free at leisure.

DAY 06: VARNA / BUCHAREST (Buffet Breakfast, Dinner)
- Bucharest: Enjoy a pleasant walk through Bucharest's finest points of interest including ancient churches, spectacular architecture. See landmarks like stunning 'White House of Romania' Palace of Parliament, Revolution Square, Arch of Triumph, Kretzulescu Church, The Princely Old Court, and learn how the Cold War shaped the city’s landscape, and memories of the cold war and revolution era.
DAY 07: BUCHAREST / SINAIA / BRAN / BRASOV (Buffet Breakfast, Dinner)
- Excursion to Sinaia: Nestled at the foot of the Bucegi Mountains in the picturesque town of Sinaia, visit the masterpiece of one of the most stunning German new-Renaissance architecture, Peles Castle.
- Bran: Surrounded by an aura of mystery and legend and perched high atop a 200-foot-high rock, Bran Castle owes its fame to its imposing towers and turrets as well as to the myth created around Bram Stoker's Dracula.
DAY 08: BRASOV / SIGHISOARA (Buffet Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
- Brasov: Brasov, Romania is the gateway to Transylvania. Start in Piata Sfatului, Council Square, the heart of Brasov medieval historic center. The arc-shaped "square" and its ornate rainbow of building facades will have you wondering where to look first. The Black Church sits just off the main square in Brasov. It's the largest Gothic church in Eastern Europe. As you can see, the Black Church is not black in color. It earned the name after a fire in 1689 burned the church and the walls darkened from smoke.
- Sighisoara: Sighisoara still stands as one of the most beautiful and best-preserved medieval towns in Europe. Designated as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, this perfectly intact 16th century gem with nine towers, cobbled streets, burgher houses and ornate churches rivals the historic streets of Old Prague or Vienna for atmospheric magic. It is also the birthplace of Vlad Dracula, also known as Vlad Tepes (Vlad the Impaler), ruler of the province of Wallachia from 1456 to 1462. It was he who inspired Bram Stoker's fictional creation, Count Dracula. His house is just one of the many attractions. Visit the Sighisoara Citadel, stroll through the old town, view the 14th century Clock Tower, Church on the Hill with its 500-year-old frescoes, the 13th century Venetian House and the Church of the Dominican Monastery, known for its Transylvanian renaissance carved altarpiece, baroque pulpit, Oriental carpets and 17th century organ.
DAY 09: SIGHISOARA / BUCHAREST (Buffet Breakfast, Traditional Romanian Folk Show and Dinner)
Transfer long distance from Sighisoara to Bucharest.
DAY 10: BUCHAREST / HOME (Buffet Breakfast, Meals on Board)
Free at leisure till transfer to airport.
DAY 11: HOME
