Day 1: Arrival in Chengdu
Upon your arrival in Chengdu, our local guide will warmly welcome you at the airport or railway station. You'll then be escorted to your handpicked hotel via private vehicle, ensuring a smooth and comfortable transfer. After check-in, the rest of the day is yours to explore or relax.
 
Day 2: Discovering Chengdu
Morning: Start your day with an early pickup from your hotel and head to the renowned Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, just 10 km from downtown Chengdu. This beautifully landscaped park is home to around 80 giant pandas and rare animals like red pandas and black-necked cranes. The best time to visit is in the morning when the pandas are most active, especially during their feeding time, around 9:30 AM. Afterward, you can explore the Panda Museum, watch an educational video at the Panda Theatre, and stroll through the park's scenic walkways. Remember to send a unique postcard from the Panda Post, the only post office with its special panda-themed postmark.
Lunch: Enjoy a traditional Sichuan Hotpot lunch at a local restaurant, where you can savor the authentic flavors of Chengdu's famed cuisine.
Afternoon: Continue your cultural exploration with a visit to the Jinsha Ruins Museum, an archaeological site showcasing the ancient Shu civilization from the Shang and Zhou dynasties. Here, you'll delve into the rich history and culture of Sichuan.
Evening: For an unforgettable experience, opt for a traditional Sichuan Opera Show (optional) in the evening. From 8:00 to 9:30 PM, the performance features mesmerizing acts such as the internationally famous Face-Changing Show and the Hands Shadow Show, where actors skillfully use only their hands to perform. After the show, return to your hotel in downtown Chengdu.
 
Day 3: Immersing in Chengdu’s Culture
Morning: After a leisurely breakfast, you'll embark on a culinary journey at the Sichuan Cuisine Museum. Here, you'll learn about the rich history of Sichuan cuisine, explore the cooking process, and even try your hand at preparing some classic Sichuan dishes.
Afternoon: Enjoy a relaxed afternoon in the heart of Chengdu. Visit Chengdu People's Park, a lively space where locals engage in activities such as dancing, exercising, playing Mahjong, and even matchmaking. You're welcome to join in and experience the local culture firsthand. Then, settle down in a traditional tea house within the park, where you can sip tea and soak in the leisurely atmosphere.
Next, explore the historic Kuan Zhai Alley, a charming area of ancient streets dating back to the Ming and Qing dynasties. Take your time wandering through the alleys, and stop at a uniquely Chinese-style Starbucks for a coffee break, enjoying the fusion of old and new.
 
Day 4: Departure from Chengdu
Spend your final moments in Chengdu at your leisure. When it's time, you'll be transferred to the airport for your flight home or onward to your next destination.
